Our family has had an excellent experience at this martial arts school. Sifu Joseph has been training with my son for the past 3 years, and we couldn’t be happier with the positive impact it has had on him. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about each student’s progress, regardless of skill level. Over the years, I’ve seen my son gain confidence, discipline, focus, and respect while also developing strong martial arts skills. Classes are well-structured, motivating, and challenging in the best way, while still maintaining a supportive and welcoming environment. What truly stands out is the strong sense of community. Students encourage one another, and the atmosphere makes learning both fun and rewarding. This school goes beyond teaching martial arts — it helps build character and personal growth. I trained under Sifu Joseph for years. He’s a phenomenal martial artist and knows how to get the best from his students. His creative fitness routines are legendary.

From our son: It’s a great way to exercise. He’s not a drill sergeant type of instructor. He lets us do fun games every once in a while that also work on our reaction time. From mom & dad: He’s tried many different activities, and this is the first one he’s enjoyed. It’s good for his fitness, his ability to defend himself, and it’s fun. Joseph does a really good job balancing learning, discipline, being safe, and having fun. Our son went from a kid who would just panic and not know what to do in a situation to immediately being prepared and focused to see what was going to happen so he could respond appropriately. From mom (also a class participant): I highly recommend it for kids and adults. The lessons build on each other and come back around every few months so that things become muscle memory. If you are ever in a situation you need to defend yourself, you want your body to automatically know how to respond to a situation. A single self-defense class doesn’t create the muscle memory needed. As a very short female, I was an easy target. Not anymore! The class has built up my confidence that I can defend myself if needed.

I have nothing to say but positive and encouraging comments for Joseph as a martial arts instructor! I was a working mom, post baby #2 and frustrated with my fitness. Sifu Joseph encouraged me to try, was supportive of my efforts and I achieved some life long goals as a result! I am forever thankful and appreciative of Joseph’s encouragement and training style!

Amazing atmosphere and an amazing studio to be a part of. Sifu Joseph is the best instructor you could ask for. Very reasonable prices. If you want your child to learn structure and respect this is hands down the best place to go.
